November 2017 Manouche Jazz Quartet The Manouche Jazz Quartet captures the essence of the Hot Club de France, giving new voice to the legacy of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Bringing class and charisma to the scene, the band is a new chapter in the narrative of gypsy jazz.
October 2017 Annika Skoogh Quartet The Annika Skoogh Quartet are an exciting band and led by Swedish singer Annika Skoogh. Annika is an accomplished and adventurous jazz singer and she has picked a fine band for this modern jazz project. Her quartet of highly accomplished musicians are; Matt Carter (keys), Al Swainger (electric bass) and Coach York (drums) and they provide the perfect anchor for her assured and soulful vocals.
September 2017 The Loney Band Virtuoso guitar from Jules Moberly, with Becky Loney vocalist, John Bangham keyboard and vocals, Frank Rawle on drums and cajon, Lee Thommen bass.
August 2017 The Darktown Strutters A few years ago a couple of us put an ad in the local paper ‘Jazzmen wanted to complete band’. Within days, half-a-dozen elderly gents, who had presumed their best jazzing days were over, got together - found that most of them knew each other from years earlier - and couldn’t wait to get blowing and strumming again.
July 2017 John Walter Trio John Walter on keyboard. Matt Evans drums, Dominic Treacher double bass. John Walter Learnt his chops in London in the 70's. Attending regular jazz workshops with Stan Tracey and having piano lessons with John Taylor and others.
June 2017 Ronnie Jones Quartet. Ronnie Jones on drums, Gary Bayley saxophone, Joss Kidd guitar, David George bass.
